: Feeling pretty bad...

As some of you remember I recently put power steering in the Camaro. Works great. It needed an alignment and I was off from both jobs today the weather was not to bad so it presented a good opportunity.
I called a friend of mine that's the manager over at Spokane Tire Factory. He said he could squeeze me in between some scheduled alignments. Friends like that are nice to have.
I get the Camaro up on the rack and I am talking to the tech. We get the pods on the four wheels and are getting things right for the computer.
Mind you the car is about 6 feet in the air right now.
The pod for the left front tire falls off and smashes on the floor and as soon as it hits, the right side does the same thing.
They probably will not have an alignment machine for the next couple of weeks while they try to get the parts in during the holidays. They cant be cheap either.
I feel pretty bad that I pulled in a favor and something like this happened.
The pods were installed properly, but the lip on my front wheels (15x7 chevy rallys)was not as pronounced as the ones on the rear. Next time we will use the bunji cords. I have to bring those guys a case of beer next time I am over there.

I don't think it's your fault...
Beers aren't a bad idea tho. ;)

Better than it could have been!! I thought you were going to say your car fell off!! Whew!! Bad things happen..it wasn't your fault and you'll know next time!! But a case of beer would probably help things!!

Sorry THAT HAPENED,The first time I helped do a front end alignments the same thing happened, only two of the four fell off, the owner of the shop was a little upset with me, but got over it. I am glad he is still my friend. And he bought me a Six Pack!!and threw the bunji cords at me!!! Merry Christmas Tim!

The pods normally have cables attached that screw onto the valve stems to keep this kind of thing from happening. Its not your fault, the Tech. should have been more cautious.

Brought my friend a bottle of Crown for his troubles. Had a few laughs about the pods. He has parts coming in and should be up Monday or Tuesday. Glad it turned out ok.
