For some reason when the AC was removed by another party on my 68 camaro the put the alternator on the passanger side in place of the AC compressor they removed. I am purchasing the vintage air system for my car and want to put the AC compressor where it belongs on the left side. After talking to Vintage Air tech reps the said not a problem they would include the necessary bracket to mount the AC compressor but now I need the correct brackets for the alternator to mount on the drivers side. If someone can view my photos in my sig block and tell me exactly what I need I would greatly appreciate it!! Headers, long water pump, 350.....

pretty much by definition, long water pumps (69 & later) have the alternator on the pass side and short pumps (68 and earlier, vette's thru 82) have it on the drivers side.
I'm not aware of a bracket to put an alternator on the drivers side with a long water pump. Your best bet is gonna be to go back to a short pump. you'll have to replace some of the pulley's but all that stuff is cheap. or get the whole setup from vintage air + $35 for an auto parts store water pump.
The guys here helped me find a sweet drivers side alt. bracket from a mid '70's vette, bolts to the front of the head, very solid.

If your car was converted to a long water pump configuration, the easiest thing to do is to complete the conversion with 69 and up parts. JMO :D

would be easiest, but that would put the a/c on the left and drape big ugly hoses all over the engine

Jim call Vintage air, they have a bracket for diver side alt with long water pump. You will need to get the outboard one. They are not the best to look at, but it used the top bolt hole on the water pump and the first two bolt holes on the intake. It is not going anywhere. Good luck Jerry
