the a/c didnt work and still doesnt.

i looked and someone rigged a wire to the compressor....well i i know when i ground it the compressor clicks on, but the a/c still doesnt work.

i went ahead and took the wire off.......how much would it cost to re-wire that myself?

and how complicated would that be?

p.s. i have a '94 z28

Your a/c system sounds like it is low on freon. There is a pressure switch that doesn't allow the compressor to run, if the freon is low. If the freon is low , you have a leak. A shop needs to fix it. Have them convert it to R-134a while they are at it. You need the original power wire connected, not the direct wire spliced in. Bite the bullet and open the wallet !

well, see....
i took it to a shope a few motnhs ago nd they told me the freon needed to be refilled, so they filled it up.

well, even after that they said there was no a/c still and they would have to do a diag, which cost upwards of $80.

and after that they said there was no gaurantee

Find a new shop. Unless there is a very slow leak, just recharging won't help.
