This is a bit unusual for the forums but if there is an automotive machinest looking for employment in the San Jose, CA area my buddy has a full time opening right now. This position entails all phases of block work, possible head work and maybe some assembly. My frind's name is Vic Anderson, the shop is called Victory Automotive Machine and you can contact him at 408 266-7570.

Vic stressed with me he really would like to find someone that has a passion for old cars and working on them. He does a lot of dealership machine work, and has a couple serious racers that send him their work and there's always a vintage Camaro, Firebird, GTO. tri-5 or other muscle/pony car in the shop too. Lately pontiac seems to be the mill of choice going through the shop but there's almost always a BBC or SBC in the assembly room.

Awww man. If only I had the time.... and knew how to machine I'd be all over this. Vic's shop is literally 2 minutes from my house. I'd love to work there. I wonder if he'd want to teach me.

They have a young guy doing general wrenching, I hear he just got out of the Evergreen automotive program. The shop really needs a seasoned machinest though...

A guy who bought some GTO parts from me told me about Victory Machine. Supposedly Vic has a side business running a small-cap body shop too. Have you heard anything about their quality?

I had them do some paint touch up work on my car that I was happy with. At the time Vic had 1 guy doing both body and paint. He recently brought in a painter and Robert does just body work. I have heard good reviews through the grapevine but really haven't seen any of the finished products. If the board in Vic's office that tracks the work coming in on is any indication I'd say they are staying busy out there.

Robert is a really good guy to work with. Soon they'll be fixing up my 3000GT. I'll post the results when the work is done.

He's already fixed my busted Ebrake and the job quality was top knotch.
