Yes, trim tag info needed, and better to post a picture of it here so the gurus can tell if it is a legit trim tag. Lotsa fakes out there.

WOW!! This car is only 5 VIN numbers from my z/28 (611856 to 611861), I am really interested in seeing the trim tag info. If you can, get any date codes that are original on the car, would like to compare to my car. Thanks!!

hotrodz/28,
Here is some info for you? I started my own data base back in 1991, It is only on the cars that I have owned myself, I made an excel spread sheet with everything I could think of that had dates, stampings and what ever else I could think of. I have also added over that time new things to write down as I find, learn or hear about them.
I have had 2 cars, 1 before and one after your vin#. the one before yours was 21,000 cars before yours and the 1 after yours was just shy of 1800 cars after.
the 1 before was an 02B trim tag and the one after was an 02D tag, But there are no 03A tags that I am aware of so all 03A built cars have 02D tags, I can agree with the 03A cars with 02D tags due to the 1 I have in my data base (SB Pace Car)has some original first week of march parts. Rear end, Distributor, etc.
so with these numbers It broke down like this, 02B to 02D/03A cars is 4 weeks of production time, that comes out to around 23,000 cars +/- divided by 4 weeks equals 5,750 cars per week divided by 2 shifts that 2875 per shift per week which equals 575 per day per shift. Now thats what I have just for the calculation on those 2 cars. The number's change slightly with any differant cars vin. when entered.
my guess will be, yours and rickdefs17 will both be 02D trim tags? since the one I have is less then 1800 after yours and rickdefs17 it's within 3 shifts or 2 days of each others cars. Pretty cool I think..
Here is something else I am wondering??? It looks as if during the week of production, alot of these 02D/03A cars where of the high performace series cars??? I have seen ALOT of pace cars during that week some SS cars and z/28's??? Who knows?? Just an observation on my side.. If you need any other info let me know.
