View Full Version : Is anyone checking out Costco for gas??
stevo camaro Mar 16th, 04, 04:50 PM Here in Reno gas is $1.76 a gallon if your a member. No cash though. Credit/debit card or costco credit card only.
I hit it at 7:00 A.M. because you can drive right up to the pump. If you wait until afternoon or evening, it looks like 1973 all over again.
Lines 8 cars wide & 10 cars deep. LOL smile.gif
Anyway, something to check out.
SSupermanZ Mar 16th, 04, 04:54 PM How much are you saving not buying it from other stations?
stevo camaro Mar 16th, 04, 05:22 PM All the other "cheaper" stations are $2.13 a gallon. smile.gif
Chevron, Shell, are at $2.23 plus.
69nj350 Mar 16th, 04, 06:02 PM good lord, regular is $1.54 down the street here. and i thought that was a little high :D
ZZ430DropTop67RS Mar 16th, 04, 06:07 PM $1.69 for regular here, $1.91 premium.
oger Mar 16th, 04, 06:45 PM Costco by me is $1.94 for regular.
kinzli Mar 16th, 04, 07:42 PM Costco is about 20-25 cents less than the cheapest stations in town per gallon.
My daily driver is a diesel though and they don't sell diesel :(
The fun car only takes 7 or 8 gallons per cruise, and it would take 3 gallons to get to costco, so I don't bother (Costco is about 6 miles from my house). graemlins/clonk.gif
jackr Mar 16th, 04, 10:27 PM Costco in Phoenix 1.90/gal. I was in Mammoth Ca. last weekend and was paying $ 2.50 or more.
toycarlvr@aol.com Mar 17th, 04, 04:33 AM Costco gas is great! About 10 to 20 cents cheaper a gallon. Since it's not convient for me I rarely fill-up there... but I have. If I had an SUV or a big truck... Costco's the ticket!
RickD Mar 17th, 04, 07:44 AM Wow. I feel better. $1.78 for reg here. However, I might trade $.20/gal for warm weather.
boodlefoof Mar 17th, 04, 07:47 AM was over at the Kroger grocery store gas station here just about a week ago and regular was $1.49... with a Kroger card you get a few pennies off each gallon too! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Green Hornet Mar 17th, 04, 10:10 AM I love reading about how high gas is in the States. It's 89.9 cents a liter here. That works out to about 3 dollars per gallon USD down there. As well, my income tax is 50 percent of what I earn. And don't get me started about the weather or how hard it is to get parts here. Man I could go all day.
Cheers guys!
ummgawa Mar 17th, 04, 12:17 PM $1.59 here-Regular
jackr Mar 17th, 04, 01:19 PM Canada needs to drop the metric system. See what can happen.
boodlefoof Mar 17th, 04, 01:52 PM Sorry to hear it Green Hornet. I feel for you.

Cheers guys! What was the price 6 months ago and 6 months before that? It's the roller coaster pricing not the actual price that makes folks frustrated...
ragtopman Mar 17th, 04, 04:06 PM Hanging right at $1.51, but then they change the gas prices around here like people change underwear. graemlins/sad.gif graemlins/clonk.gif

There's a station on Alhambra in Martinez by my daughter's house that's $1.91 today - a steal compared to the 34 gal.s @ $2.12 I paid.
