mine says v-8.....but vin says straight 6, from what i here. it happened ever so often and its no big deal the vin superseeds the trim tag...

All the cowl tags have v8 numbers on them.

The cowl tags dont all indicate V8 but rather deal with interior or other Fisher Body information as indicated in www.camaros.org information on decoding.
