If you have had more than one than enter the one you have had the longest.
Even if you no longer have it , how long did you own it ?
I am just interested in how long these love affairs have been going on.

Wow, I'm the first to vote :D Had mine for about 6 years... still never been on the road while I've owned it, or probably for quite some time before. About halfway done now, though, maybe by 2011 or 2012 I'll actually be able to drive it!

I've owned several in my life and can't remember the length of ownership on each...I think my current 69 car I've had the longest at 5.5 years...When I was younger, they kept wanting to find a ditch for some odd reason :D

This is our third Camaro. Had a 68 SS/RS 396 in 1970 and a sport coupe late in the 70s. Started working on latest one ( 68 Sport Coupe) in 98. Got it runng in 2000, and been driving it ever since. Never stopped working on it. I'd show it to you, but this computer doesn't have a carb or a camshaft,
so I'll never figure it out. Kevin

When I was 16 in 1969 I thought the only Camaro worth having would be the SS396. I didn't even know about a Copo or ZL1. Mopars were on the top of my list at that time. Now I've owned the '69 for 5 &1/2 years and the '67 a little over 2 years. Oh, by the way they are both small blocks, maybe there is a big block in my future. :)

Of the three I currently own, I've had the "Z" 7 1/2 year's (3rd owner), the RS a little over a year (???owner's), and the "SS" almost 4 year's (I'm the original owner).

I only voted once though......... :D

I bought my 68 the year I got married for $950. My wife thought it was not a good idea then and still feels the same way. I havent driven it in a few years as it has been in peices. I've had it 27 years now and am in the middle of a serious restoration I'm almost half done now. But the story will have a happy ending soon when she sees it completed.

Bought my first one new in '68. An SS396 4 speed. Put 88k miles on it and finally sold it in '78. Growing family, you know. Besides, wife could barely drive it with the 4 speed and manual steering. Picked up the 69L65 4 speed in '88. Basically all original except for paint and interior. Been driving it in nice weather for about the last 14-15 years. J.R. :)

Finally started seriously rebuilding in April of 2004,,,, getting close to done, but still got another 3-4 months to go. Feel free to look at the progress if you're interested.... link is in my signature.

I bought my '69 convertible in 1995 from a coworker who was getting transferred to North Carolina. Drove it for a couple of months and then started the restore/modify efforts. Finished everything in 1997. I still make upgrades to it every year. I was making a list of things while in Daytona Beach last weekend that I want to do this year.

I've actually had mine my whole life...my dad said that he'd give the camaro to his first son. I was fortunate to be the first son! I'm only 19 years old but he's had it since 1975 so I guess "we've" had it for about 31 years.
He parked it in 1985 and let it sit for 15 years due to getting too many tickets. LOL. I was born in 1986, him and I started the restoration 15 years later. He gave me the keys after we rolled it out of the garage to wet sand the paint. It took us about a year and half to do somewhat of a frame-off(front clip off) restoration.

I've had four so far -- 1st was a '67 I special ordered in '67. 325Hp 396, RSSS, close-ratio four-speed, Strato-bucket front seat. Also had a disastrous mono-leaf rear spring. Mountain green with Black vinyl top.

2nd was a SS, 300 HP 350 '69, fourspeed, LeMans Blue w/black vinyl top, bought new in late '69 (September) sold to local guy in '75 -- he still has it, but won't sell it back -- I offered every penny he paid me!

3rd was a plain-jane with a non- orginal 350 coupe

4th is a 375 HP 396 SS Coupe (Lemans Blue), Came with a non- original LT-1 350 ('68), which is in the garage waiting to be a heart transplant into my '55 Chev PU Napco 4X4. Current engine is a period correct (within 12 weeks of the car build date) 396 block. It's been bored and sleeved to 427 CU IN, Comp Cam, Hooker SuperComp Headers, '69 oval-port heads and an 800 CFM Holley Spreadbore.

Bought my 70 when I was 17 and in high school, 1978 from the orignal owner who wanted to buy a Caddy. She bought the car new in 70 from Beach City Chevrolet in Long Beach California and traded a 69 camaro for it. I have had the car for 27 years.

My 70 is my first camaro and have also had a 69 RS/SS, 82 Z28 and now have a daily driver 02 LS1 Z28.

Got into camaros because my Dad bought a new 67 RS/SS L78 Granada gold Camaro with auto tranny, no rear spoiler, Black top and black strip on the front. What a hotrod that one was.

Got stolen in 69!

Original owner, I have owned my 67 Camaro since Oct 22 1966! Gee! that's over 39 YEARS AGO!
I put around 150,000. miles on it before storing it in the early 80's.

I should finally get to working on it this winter!
When I run into people I went to High School with, they often ask me about "that blue Camaro you had"... I tell them - yeah, I still have it! ;)

I Bought my 69 Z28 in Sept 73. I was the 4th owner. The first owner wrecked it when it was new and bought another new one. The second owner got laid off of his job and had to let it go back to the bank. The third owner whom I bought the car from had a wife & kids and wanted a more economical car so I traded my 1972 VW Super Beetle straight across for the Z.
It was my divorce present to myself.
On Dec 12, 1973 the day that my 1st son was born I blew up the 302. At that time I wanted a motor with more torque so I opted for a LT-1 350.
I have had the car all these years but have never really had the spare money to get keep it running with raising a family and all. My wife would ask me to sell it but I would tell her that I have had that car longer than her. She is very understanding. The car has sat for so long that the brakes froze up and other things, My wife is now going to college and the kids have moved out so hopefully when my wife finishes college in 2 more years I will have the spare money to work it.
Sell my Camaro? Never

Got my '67 RS in March of 1984. My first car, it was my daily driver for 3 years. Now it's just a weekend toy. I'm the third owner, all local, it was bought new in the next town over. It's very rust free and tight. It drives like a dream. I will never part with it, as I am lucky enough to have a wife who loves it as much as I do and won't let me!

I purchased my 1969 RS conv in 1981 4 mos. before my 16 th birthday. I had to get my sister to ride me around in it. I did a total restoration in 1988. Belive it or not most of the part's at that time were bought at the local chevrolet dealer.I just recently did alot of mod's to the car,big block 4 speed boyd wheels etc.just to keep my interest, had the car so long I started to get bored with it. Everyone say's the car is an asset, but it's only an asset if we sell them so I guess it will always be a liability to me , but I dont mind sinking money into it one bit, camaro's are awesome.Hi jr68 Ibought a 1995 impala ss in 1995 those car's are great cars as well.

I bought my 67 when I was 18...exactly 10 years ago! I saw it sitting on the guys lawn and I just had to have it! I'm not exactly sure if it's an RS, SS, or RS/SS...the tag info isn't very helpful though I know by that it's a 67. The previous owner did some crazy stuff to it. I think it used to be a automatic but he cut a hole in the floor for a standard. It's got the 68 wood grain panel around the radio and the astro vents on the kick panels, console guages, 12-bolt rear and SS hood...so it's more of a 67/68 RS/SS lol!

Right now, it's sitting all lonely in a garage back home and has been for the past 5 years while I was off running around the world in the military. Now that I'm back stateside I have plans for a full frame off restoration! I soooo can't wait to drive it again!

I bought my Camaro February 1977 for 1,650.00 from the 1st owner and 1979 to 1997 I drag raced her street drags at the start to running 10.80 @ 124 mph .Then she was parked in the corner of my garage for 9 yrs and I pulled her out last year and started to put her back together for the street ,I am still running my 10.80's motor for now as I half to get in line and take a number ,my buddy is so busy he can't do my motor till this winter ,so it be local for this year.
There was no Numbers mach back then ,I would of saved all my original parts, I had many chance's to sell her over the years ,but I didn't ,so I am still at it ,sometimes I wonder why??? Bottom line I think I am still having fun.

I've had mine for about a year.

I met a guy the other week that bought his 67 SS camaro in 1967, and he took it straight from the dealership to the drag strip lol.

he still has the car too.

Bought my 1969 RS in 1973 from my cousin. Makes me the second owner. The car was a rust bucket (lots of winter driving in sand and salt) . Bought fenders and door panels and grill (not RS) from a wreck yard and had the body work done. Painted dark blue. In 1976 I removed the 327 and automatic transmission and replaced with a 302 M21 trany and 4.10 rear 10 bolt. Also changed out the blue worn out interior to a used black one found in a wrecking yard. Got rear ended in 1978 which caused damage to rear panels and lights. Found panels at a wreck yard but not RS so started to change to a Z28. Changed to a burgandy with black stripes and added a cowl hood.1980 sold the 302 12.5 compression and put in a 350 10 compression.( 12.5 compression not good on street fuel). Got married in 1983 and then the car was stored away (Kids and cars do not mix well priorities change). In 2005 I ran in to an old friend that back in the day we hot rodded together. He was showing me a car he got from Texas and was wondering what I had done with my Camaro. He suggested that it was time to dig it out of storage. Well here we go again. Replaced the body mounts and changed to disk brakes and replaced the rear frame rails.(internet makes this way too easy) Drove for the summer of 2007 and now headed to the paint shop for a color change.
