Attended Turkey Run in daytona this weekend and came across this polish. would you believe you can apply to a black car in the sun and it will not streak. you can apply it to chrome, vinyl and glass also. do the entire car in the sun is better because it dries better. you don't rub it on like other polishes just long stokes smearing it over the entire car and it wipes off just as easy. micro fibre towels recomended . they also have a great tire dressing.

Hot flash paint polish 16 oz. bottle $20.00
Hot flash rubber, vinyl dressing $ not listed on reorder card just ask when you call in
micro fibre towels 4pk. $10.00

credit card orders (813) 654-4210

no web site listed and i am not affiliated with them in any way just amazed in the product. after waxing cars 48 years this is the best and easiest yet ! if i knew how i would post a pic of the end result. i would say the value of my paint job increased by $2,000.00 or more and you can do this in the direct sunlight . Just had to share this product with you all.

I'm new here and all but that is a very strong sales pitch for some one not "affiliated with them in any way". I like Papa Johns pizza but I couldn't tell you the menu run down or the phone number if I had to let alone some wax I saw 1 time at a show. I have been to that show a few time and there is a Transmission vender, I don't remember the name but in the past they have had 2 hot chics standing in front of there tent handing out flyers. Them I can remember. :D

I'm more impressed with wax that lasts on the daily driver 6-12 months than ease of application. The Meguiars Gold Class looks good on the Z, but it seemed to wash off by 3rd rain, judging by the lack of water beading.

My friend got me using the Eagle One Wax As You Drive on the daily drivers. Works good. Beads have lasted longer than the gold class did.

Every time I wax my car, I think of Pat Morita, aka: Mr. Miyagi (may he RIP), cause it's always hard work.

Wax-ah on, wax-ah off

Yikes!!!, some of you sure are a little grumpy. Did you eat too much turkey over the holiday or what? I could understand your reaction if Dennis just joined this site, but he's been around a little while. Plus if he was affiliated, I think he would have approached it a lot differently than he did. If you are 100% certain that he's affiliated, prove it...otherwise let's hear what he has to say. Oh and I'm not affiliated with Dennis, I'm just an open minded team member here.

I have discovered Carnauba wax, I found a source for it on Ebay at $1.00 per 12 ounce bottle. Carnauba doesn't last as long as some waxes, but it really gives the 'wet' look, and you can't beat the price. I don't mind waxing my car several times a year, it's really the only way to get that 'just waxed' look. For $1.00 I can wax all 4 of my cars for an entire driving season, what a deal! (BTW I'm not affiliated with Carnauba)

This is one of the best sites I have ever been to when it comes to car cleaning and detailing:

Bill

I think the key to this one is that you have to have PAINT on the car first before waxing. It might work on the windshield and hubcaps though. And as Beavis and Butthead so delicately put it..."You can't polish a turd". :)

LMAO.....

I use Meguires products or plain ol turtle wax on the daily drivers. On the Camaro, I don't use wax. I keep it clean and in the garage and drive it now and then and use the garden hose for the lower 1/2 and a California duster for the rest. Still looks great!

a few guys I know who work in body shops recommended using 3M hand gaze once a year on your car instead of wax. I haven't done it, so I can't comment on how it looks.

I think the body shop guys use the glaze because they don't want to wax a fresh paint job. Wax doesn't let the paint dry properly, whereas the glaze will let paint vapors escape.

Glaze does look OK, as I used it after having my SS painted two years ago.

Glaze is great on a dark car as it hides the spider scratches. It also makes a metalic or pearl "pop". But it needs to be coated with a good wax. Glaze does not level the paint surface like a wax does.

:) I'm with you on that. I think anyone who grew up watching that movie thinks of that when they're waxing on and off...
