Went to the store looking for the Hot Rod issue that has the article about Eric68 but could not it. Does anyone know which issue it is? It is Hot Rod right and not Hot Rodding???

Thanks,

Marty

The January issues probably aren't out in the stores yet . I just got mine in the mail and I'm sure subscribers get theirs first.

Wal Mart always has the car magazines i subscribe to about 2 weeks before i do.
Hot Rod, Car Craft, CHP, and PHR.
that really bugs me..

Derrik is right, the stores get theres before the subscribers. I would think it would be the other way around too, but at least in my case (CA) we get ours after they are already out in the stores.

. . . and here's a scan of the article with me in it. These scans are from Phil Coopers website -- he was the guy with purple Nova with the 457" SBC in it that went 8.80's

Same here. If they get my hard earned dough in advance, I oughta get mine at least a day before Wal mart!!

I KNEW you was hiding something. See right there where it says 12.0-1 compression? You wouldn't be sneaking a little race fuel in there, would you? ;) :D

Nice car and definantly a fan of the smallblock as ive run everything from a 406 to a 434 mouse, you may want to consider a "beefed up" 12 bolt when you drop the 410 in there, that is if your hooking it up real hard with slicks as i was, I broke an aftermarket axle one day at the track running a set 11x29 goodyear eagle slicks, combo was a full bodied 69 camaro, only fiberglass on the car was the hood, 406 engine w/dart "220" aluminum heads, ultradyne roller cam, pg trans, car went 10,20's until she broke a rod, after that i never built another using stock chevrolet rods.

Winner!

That says it all!

On the topic of getting them late (mine has not come yet), that makes me mad too. Maybe because the newsstand buyers pay $4 or so each, but we lowly subscribers only pay about $.60 each? I just re-upped because they gave me a free hat. :)

Thanks guys. You know you guys have always been my sounding board for new ideas so its kind of moral victory for all of us Camaro&Nova-obsessed-gearheads :D

Now we just need an NA Big Block candidate for next year (Garret???), I'll be back (hopefully) for the small block category, then we need some kick butt power adder cars . . .
