I have read a lot of posts, but still looking for some answers. My 69 Camaro has Monoleaf springs. I would like to drop the rear about an 1" or so. I made a solid drop block for my 55 Chevy and it worked great. I understand the Mono spring does not have a locating pin on the spring. What are the options for lowering the rear before I look at new springs or multi springs etc. This car will be a cruiser not a racer. Will a solid block u-bolted in stay in place without the pin in the spring?

The OE mono has the pin welded on the bottom side. You can add a block between the spring perch and top of spring, which will lower the body.

Remove the top rubber pad and use the lower pad with shock plate to locate.
U-bolts will help clamp all together, 7/16" is OE size, I would use 1/2."

That sounds good. I have not taken it apart yet, but was under the impression the Mono spring did not have a pin on the spring to line up with the perch. I will see when I get it apart. Thanks

They should all have the pin. The monoleaf on my 67 does.

The spring is centered in the shock plate, and not the spring perch.
