I would like to move my leaf springs in 3". I know i need offset shackles, spring perches, narrow my gas tank or get a cell, shock crossmember. But know for the DUMB? How do i move the front of the springs inboard?

The kits like DSE make for minitubbing don't move the front perch as it's not in the way of tires/wheels. They just offset the rear of the springs.

You do know that you'll hit the inner wheelwell now way before the spring. Are you planning on sectioning or changing those?

I know the weld-in sub frame connectors from Competition Engineering have the spring mounts built into them.

but they say that you must use their Rear Frame Rails to do that. I'm sure with some fabrication somebody could figure out how to make them work without the rear frame rails, though. At least I'm going to try. :clonk: There may be other "kits" out there that do this, but it will take some cutting and welding to do it.

GWbutch,

You'd be better off using their 'bolt on ' and have them tacked at critical points. The weld in are really made to be used with replacement rails and its an other story alltogether (Its a complete backhalf)

The front does not need to move with only 3 inches of move from the rear.

BBC T/A, Do yourself a favor, use offset shackle (like detroits or speedtech performance) but not the CE ones!!!!!!!!! Please. (you have to mount the suspension thru the trunk floor and its really not a great product)

Gee, everyone is moving leafs in today, its the second tread i post on, on this subject tonight!
