Hey guys,

Does anyone have pics of the way the stock exhaust exits for a '67

I purchased the Magnaflow 2.5 kit & I am so dissapointed at the fact that the tailpies point inward toward each other. (you may have seen my other posts)

Magnaflow tells me this is the way the stock exhaust was.

I'd just like to confirm.

They point down towards the ground right at the back of the wheelwell.

That's what I thought, then are trying to tell me different.

If anyone has pics, that would be great.

That is a '68 car and my '67 is the same.

And to gain spring/body clearance back at the very tips, the factory made each tip oval for about 4" or so back.

I just used my 16" Channel-locs and did my 2.5" pipe tips by squeezing them oval. Worked like a charm.

I get the 67 or 68 question all the time so don't feel bad.
*67 ?----no marker lights
*68 ?----no vent window

It is a 68 though.

I like it when the RS packages got switched around some on the cheaper cars and near the ends of the years b/c I have seen a '67 with the '68 RS rear lights or was it a '68 with the '67's rear lights??

I forget but I know I looked twice at it..

That is a 68 with no marker lights I bet. If your looking at one like the one above and don't know for sure and it has orginal 1/4's opening the door and looking for the astro vent in the rear jamb will indentify a 68. 67's don't have them unless 1/4's were changed and 68 1/4's used. I just saw a 67 with 68's 1/4's on it a few months ago!! Door hindges are not the same on 67-68 eiather.

Yes the tios should be like those in the picture though.
