I am getting ready to paint my '69 SS. I am doing the Baldwin Motion clone thing and have the stinger hood. I am having trouble deciding whether or not to run the stripe on the roof or just on the hood and decklid. What do you think? Here's the basics:

- 1969 SS Camaro with Baldwin Motion Stinger Hood
- Original Azure Turquoise
- Black rockers and tailpan
- Black pinstripe over each wheel well (pace cars style)
- Single wide black stripe with thin pinstripe on edge starting at point of hood

Looks like a pretty solid opinion with the current 0/14/1 vote.

I like the look of the Stinger Hood. With the black stripe on it, but with the black pin stripes, rocker and sail panel, I'm not sure I'd do anything to the trunk lid.

Thanks all for voting. It seems the overwelming majority is to do just the hood and decklid. This is what my original thought was but the painter said it would look goofy and I would regret not doing the roof also. I wish I would have made one of the answer options the hood only. Oh well. Thanks again.

Id agree with the painter if the stripe goes all the way to the window molding, it would look like the roof was forgotten about. I voted decklid and hood, with the idea that the stripes would be terminated in a 'rounded off' way, just shy of the glass molding, so it looks intentional that it doesnt reach the roof. my .02

Was thinking of painting my 67 the same as the early Motion cars, in the original Marina Blue with a silver stripe. Was thinking of leaving the stripe off the roof too, but thought exactly as JHunter stated: "it would look like the roof was forgotten about."

Pretty sure the ones I have seen are painted on the roof. I was looking to do this if i got a stinger hood and I would do the roof. It's that motion thing!!
