Ok, I posted about this before, but I'm still struggling. The weld-in plates I bought have the reference hole punched out and also the subframe mount hole. With the small reference hole lined up that locks in one axis, but the repair plate can be moved in an arc left or right. The original hole is rusted pretty bad and is oval shaped. I'm not sure exactly where to position this new plate. Is there a template available that will positively locate that mounting hole? I'm kinda stuck on this one. I'm pretty sure I could get it close by eyeballing it, but I really don't know how critical it is.

I put the bolt and body bushing in and lowered the side to spot the plate. Then proceeded to weld it.

I'm sure this won't make you feel too much better, but there is a lot of slop in the caged nut such that I don't think you can go wrong with where ever the plate & mounting hole ends up.

ok - after three edits - found the pics.
Here they are:
A lot of reference lines drawn, but since the original hole was messed up, it really came down to eyeballing it, but the lines helped.
