PS If you like Sammy Hagar, look up the first two "Montrose" albums, esp. the first one. A classic album of pure rock and roll, kinda like Van Halen's first.

The soundtrack to the 1969 Shell Oil Co. gasoline commerical. Thirty seconds of listening from a distance to a 69 Z/28 with open headers being driven on Mulholland Drive.

Awesome!!........Wished I would have recorded it back then.

I find Alice Cooper- I'm Eighteen
to be the BEST FIT when driving my 69 Camaro

Lyrics:
Lines form on my face and hands
Lines form from the ups and downs
I'm in the middle without any plans
I'm a boy and I'm a man

I'm eighteen
and I don't know what I want
Eighteen
I just don't know what I want
Eighteen
I gotta get away
I gotta get out of this place
I'll go runnin in outer space
Oh yeah

I got a
baby's brain and an old man's heart
Took eighteen years to get this far
Don't always know what I'm talkin' about
Feels like I'm livin in the middle of doubt
Cause I'm

Eighteen
I get confused every day
Eighteen
I just don't know what to say
Eighteen
I gotta get away

Lines form on my face and my hands
Lines form on the left and right
I'm in the middle
the middle of life
I'm a boy and I'm a man
I'm eighteen and I LIKE IT
Yes I like it
Oh I like it
Love it
Like it
Love it
Eighteen!
Eighteen!
Eighteen!
Eighteen and I LIKE IT

I just got a 60's collection on CD, and I noticed that when Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky" comes on, the car just hums! Also T-Rex's "Bang a Gong" makes the motor leap from a stoplight...gotta be careful. And on the open road, Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll" opens the secondaries all by itself. Must be something about sympathetic vibrations.... :D

Also, as a warning, I was listening to the radio and some commercial came on with Celine Dion singing, and that was the only time that the car ever back-fired....hmmmm...

"Roll Me Away" by Bob Segar. Actually a motorcycle tune but a great one. Ties in with Everett#2390's thread about 'remember when' when I hear the line "12 hr's out of Mackinac City stopped in a bar to have a brew". Reminds me of a trip me and some buddies took when I was a little younger graemlins/beers.gif

Dennis, The bitchin' camaro song is what my wife sings almost every time she hops in the car to go out. She doesn't fair well with one of our neighbors (for good reason)Anyway, the song says something like "bitchin camaro, bitchin camaro...I ran over my neighbor". lol Not in my personal top 100 (more like 1000), but still funny the way Lily sings it ;)
