I'm getting ready to detail my brake calipers and master cylinder. Any recomendations on what paint to use. I would like to keep the cast metal look. Do I need to use high temp paint on the calipers? Thanks Pete

Thanks Pete CamarosRus Dec 3rd, 05, 09:29 PM 1) Eastwood's Cast Blast (cast iron look) paint is private labeled by Seymour 2) Seymour Paint (originator of aeresol paint) is LESS money than Eastwood phone 800--435-4482 for help findind distributor near you 3) Seymour High Temp 1200 Degree CAst Blast is # 12-2668 4) Plasti-Kote (phone # 1-800-431-5928) Rebuilders CAST FINISH #285 is also highly recommended as an exact match to cast iron. Claims to be a 500 degree coating, that resists Oil, Brake Fluid, and Gas I hope somebody copys this to Email and keeps in a FILE (WIN XP) on Camaro Restoration........ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/CamarosRus/Chucks%2069%20Camaro%20COPO%20Clone/Frame.jpg Pete67 Dec 4th, 05, 08:36 AM Very nice, thanks. Do you need to prime with this paint or just clean parts and paint. |
