I recently purchased a 69 project car. Just got it in the garage, and im getting ready to start doing some body work/metal replacement. Its got new full quarters, but needs a trunk pan, rocker panel, and the dash cowl w/vin # was cut off and the new one is just sitting on the car loose. Any one know of any good web sites, with body sheet metal replacement procedures?
This is my first post on this site, any other good first gen sites I should know about. I spend most of my time on Camaroz28.com. Ive also got a 96Z..
Thanks

And use the "Search" function above. You will find dozens of great threads on replacing quarters and other sheet metal, and exactly how to do it.

Hey Joe, Welcome to Team Camaro!
As these guys already stated, the Team Camaro technical forums are an invaluable resource for restoring (or modifying!) your First Gen.
The Camaro Resource Group web site is by far the most complete resource for learning everything there is to know about the history and decoding of the '67-'69 Camaro..... http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml
If you haven't already seen them, check out our member Brians (MartinSR) 'Basics of Basics series' section at the top of Body Shop forum.

All of the procedures you're looking to learn about have been asked and discussed before.... in many different ways. Grab a pot of coffee, or a 6-pack, and do some reading. Make sure your printer has plenty of paper and toner/ink so you can print off the threads that interest you most.
The light is always on and someone is always here.... stick around and you'll have that Camaro ('69 is the best year, by the way) on the road in no time.
