Hello all! I just purchased a 68 RS in June with a mild 327. I am in the process of replacing the ignition, wires, and plugs. I do have headers on the car so should I use the shorty plugs? Also are the platinum plugs worth the money? Any brand or model recommendation?

AC Delco is fine for all plugs, wires, and ignition parts ... Also, Autolite plugs are good and Blue Streak ignition parts are good ... Shorty plugs are only necessary if you have a clearance problem, but they are not going to give you any specific performance benefit. You just need to be sure that the plug boots clear the header pipes when attached ... you'll probably use 90* boots ...

They do seem to clear ok now, except for one plug. I am not burning the boot but if shorty plugs would help then I will buy them.
