I am new to the forum, and I first want to say that this is the best 1st gen Camaro resource out there. I have a plain Jane '68 convertible that I have had for 15 years, and am going to be starting a restification. The car is not stock as is, and I would like to improve ride and handling, and lighten up the front end a bit. I am toying with the idea of replacing the front clip with a Martz chassis subframe. Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them, likes, dislikes, etc.
Here is a link to the subframe from martz:

Yeah, I've got the road race version on my 67 convertible.
It's a good deal for the money, I'm happy with it, even though there are better (more expensive) frames out there now.
Mine has the Wilwood upgrade and the 1" SPC sway bar.
The rack and pinion is the best thing about it.
Any specific questions?

Martz does build a good subframe.
Wayne Due, IMO, is a bit nicer, but I believe it costs more.
However, with some welding and a little time, your stock subframe can be just as good for alot less money.

Woohoo, great advice. It is nice to see others do not believe everything they read.

Thanks for the advice. I have also gotten some other feedback from a couple of recent Martz customers that has swayed me to upgrade the stock subframe. I am thinking rack and pinion kit, coilover conversion, and tubular control arms. Any suggestion of a good source for these, or other options I should consider?

DSE makes good stuff. Global West, too.
