I have a 67 350 with a muncie 4spd going in. I have a hurst indy straight handle shifter, and I dont know what the mounting bracket should look like. I bought it used, and it came with a bracket, but it doesnt appear to be right. The shifter and bracket wont fit up in the tunnel. ANyone have a pic of the correct bracket for a 4spd shifter mount on a 67 with console(eventually) a console

I don't think you can use that shifter with the console. Console needs a handle with a 1" kick over and the mount that bolts to the trans mount with a U bolt around the tail.

I had a problem like yours too. Had a hodge podge of crap, I emailed the tech department of Classic Industries with my problem...the only correct part of my set up was the shifter and handle...all the rods were incorrect along with the shift arms (went to a 69..and they are different) the mounting plate was also incorrect..they lead me to the correct setup and so far looks right..My orginal problem was that the shift to 2nd and 4th always hit the tunnel. Hope this helps. db

Thanks. I think I am on the right track now. I am using a duplicate bracket that my Dad fabricated from his 65 Vette which brings the shifter closer to the trans. The bracket looks identical to the one in Ricks for the Hurst Shifter mount bracket set.He is also going to fabricate the 1 inch DogLeg for the handle to move it towards the center of the tunnel. Jodys Transmission said that it should work fine with that set up...
