Are any part of this crossram setup authentic? The top piece has a "winters" logo, but the base does not..No part # either...Just a reskinned offy maybe? Ill try to get pics of the carbs later if they end up being 4295's..

Trim tag looks okay for the most part. Some of the numbers look "messy", but there are some things about it that I dont like.

The seam sealer in the trim tag rivets does not look like the factory finished ones. The tag may have been taken off the car at one time. Should have left those alone.

How does air get into the engine with that foam seal wrapped around the air cleaner like that? These repro foam seals are horrible. Does the car have the chrome trim around the wheel openings? Is the GM casting # on the manifold base?

I dunno about the foam seal...That's what was on the car when we got it...There is nothing on the base that I can find, so it may not be an authentic GM piece..The top part/plate has a winters logo on it...Im not sure about the chrome trim, but im pretty sure it has it...

The foam seal kinda looks like the one on a 69 Trans Am.

Seal isn't even close to being correct. Compare engine bay pics to the 8-69 Car Life test of a dealer-installed 2 x 4 on a 76 76 714 car.

Resto has other problems, certainly not first-class.

I figured the crossram was not authentic...What else is wrong? Other than the excess crayon markings and caution fan sticker? I thought the underhood looked pretty nice...

The area around the body tag appears to have been painted over. When the firewall blackout was applied at the factory the cowl was covered with a masking unit causing the black to "fog" over the body color at the top. Inexperienced shops mask the cowl with tape leaving a distinct line. Sounds like an insignificant detail but it is something judges look for. Also the hood hinges, springs and hood lock support appear to be painted with cast-blast, should be dark gray phosphate. The Ford fan sticker, battery tag, coolant label and 302 sticker need to go. The master does not appear to have bleeders, service units did not but originals did. The power brake and PCV hoses are incorrectly routed and the rocker covers are polished replacements.

All easily corrected.

Real tag. Nice Car.
From what I can see at this point - looks pretty good.

Maybe some replacement stuff and some little things, but very pretty.
Show me some more!!! I love Yellow Z/28's

Are the numbers and components correct?

Could be real GM rivetts - can't tell with all that goop.
Can see the repro exhaust manifolds all the way from here.
But still a very pretty car.
