Rebulding an 82 camro z28 open rear, and was thinking of putting in a 200r4 tranny from bowtie. Just out of curiosity, this is my first project car and i still want to be street driveable but i want it to be tough and look even tougher, any suggestions as to what parts to drop in. Keep in mind i'm 19 and dont have all the money in the world. Junkyard parts a possibility?

The 700R4 would probably be the better choice in this car because it has the mounts for the torque arm. The 200 4R was not offered in the 3rd gen Camaro, so it is not going to have the mount. As for the rear end, you can use parts form '89 and older S series trucks in the stock 7.5 10 bolt that is in the car now.
