ok first off i have no clue what section to place this subject under so my bad.

i am wanting to use a 6 spd top loader in my 67 camaro. the problem....because its a newer transmission what do i do about the speedometer cable? the new transmissions have them electronic speedos where as the older transmissions had the cable.

is there a conversion thing for this or do i have to just change out my old gauges for digital? I'm at a lost right now and dont know what direction to go.

Chris -

Are you talking about a T56 conversion? If so, I've seen threads at LS1tech about a converter called Cable X.

I you wanted to go electronic, you don't need to go digital. Autometer (and I'm sure others) make electronic speedos with needles. Since my TKO 5-speed has both mechnical and electric speedo options, I'm considering an Autometer electronic speedo just to update things a bit.
