I have a Black Magic fan with an adjustable knob on the top, it is so hard to get it to come on around 180, then when i finally get it adjusted someone always turns it! Is there a sending unit that I can bypass the knob and get it guaranteed to come on at 180. If anyone knows, what's the prt# and where can I get one from.......Thanks, Patrick.

The easy answer is YES, there are several out there and you can get them in different temperature ranges (180* is popular). You could always make a mark so you know where the knob should be. I do not have part numbers handy. If you do a search online for "fan control", "Electric fan thermostat", etc.. You will see plenty of them out there. Let me know if you can't find one and I will find a part number for you. There are usually a bunch on e-bay as well.

I am running BCools 16" spal fan in a custom shroud with detriot speeds 185 degree thermo. wiring kit. It works great. Check out detroit speed and engineering on the web.

Set it where you want it and glue it in that position.
