On al local Ebay site there is a rear end for sale, supposedly from a '72 Camaro SS. I have emailed the seller to tell me if it is a 12 bolt or not, but it has been a few days and I still have no answer. It is pretty cheap at the moment so I'd hate to miss it. The seller has some pics up but they are bad quality. Maybe someone can tell from these pics if it is a 12 bolt or not??

It looks like an 8.5 unit, I can see the tabs on the underside of the center section in the first pic.

It's too wide for a 69 Camaro BTW.
You could get different BS wheels and move the spring perches in though ?

I know it is too wide for my 69 but if I can get it very cheap I will. 12 bolts are as rare as hens teeth around here in Europe. It's supposed to have a posi too. It still has zero bids (starts at appr. $100) but I don't want to buy a 10 bolt because chances are nobody will bid on it....
I just wish te seller would answer my question lol

12-bolts were only used up to and including the 1970 model year. Corporate 10-bolt (8.5) was used in 2nd gens from 71 on.

If it is an original '72 rear end then it will be an 8.5 10 bolt. Those pictures are terrible. I can't believe anyone would use pictures that are that bad unless they were trying to hide something.
