On the 68 I am working on,is there a difference beteween small block and big block A/C boxes? Also,is the vin located under the a/c box,if so where?? It was origionaly an a/c car and I am going back with vintage air,is there any of the lod stuff I need to keep? One cool note though is that the origional stampings were under the a/c box and looked great.

Are you talking about the suitcase assembly? If so, the engine side half of the A/C box is different between the sb and bb. The bb case is recessed more to accomodate the larger motor.

IIRC both halves of the suitcase are different..
