Hi all I just found out I had to upgrade my clutch and bellhousing for my new 383, it came balanced with a 168 tooth 12" flywheel, I had to order a new clutch and I bought a Keisler "621" 11-inch bellhousing for $216.00 delivered.
It sounds like a really nice unit from what they say on their website. I was just wondering if anyone out there is using one, and your experience with it. thanks
Jeff

A friend just installed one. It seems like a fine bellhousing. It's supposed to be made from a tougher alloy.

Looks good, convincing advertisement, but don't think it's a substitution for a scattershield.

You don't need to skimp when you get to this area, You need a scattershield. Remember Don Garlits?

Um this is a street driven street car that will NOT be drag raced. I know some of you "Racer Ricks" out there think if it's good for the strip it must be good for the street.

When you asked if it is a good product what is it do you want to know? Does it fit correctly?Probably? Isnt it suppose to? It is not the same as a Mcleod or Lakewood blowproof bellhousing and nobody is going to tell you it is. I think you are looking for a person to say it is as good and there is no need to spend more. Just remember there is no Santa and you get what you pay for.I for one will opt for the blowproof ones because your car does not know if it is on the strip or not (wink, wink) when you make a mistake and you have your clutch in your lap.

Yes, racer packs know the differance by choice and learn too. I use the Lakewood because I know the differance and had one laying around and was using a stock flywheel. I had to change to billet (cause I forgot chevys ring gear could be heated off) and used what I got. Like it was said before, Wink Wink, your motor cant tell where you are , but if its time to seperate, you have one more ounce of protection. I learned years ago when I was hauling grain in an old 68 model 366 engine truck,,, flywheel decided it was time. The slice into the cab floor was clean, about 1" wide, right up into the radio and windshield. Talk about dirty pants.
