has anyone gone from a column shift to a floor mount shifter?

can you buy a new piece for the column to make it look as if the column shifter was never there?

i used to have a tach mounted in that location, but since i installed the autometer gauges in the dash, it bothers me that i can see the old setup

any help would be great

I am going to change over. I bought a new columb on e-bay for a floor shift car (first gen) for less than $50.00 including shipping. Pretty easy to come by, just look around. I think for the money it's the cheapest way to go.

If you are talking about the hole in the dash, just buy a repro clock bezel!
