ive seen a couple of cars myself with a build date of 04L.somewhere on CRG (www.camaros.org)i think it states that GM had a problem with their E die stamp at the end of april 69 and used the L in its place.

it looks like 04 L. you can tell it was garnet red but now it is a custom blue. is anyone from the baltimore area?

I have a 4L car also. It was unique to a certain VIN range of late April cars. A little unusual, but they are out there.
