Is there any "trick" to reinstalling them? I got the forward bolt in, no problem, however the rear bolt is proving to be a pain in the arse! Is there any tricks to get the bolt holes lined up?
Thanks

JD,
There shouldn't be any issues getting the bolts through. Can you do the opposite and get the rear one to install but not the front? Did you have the bushings replaced?
Sounds like the bushings flanges have been bent, throwing the bushing alignment off.
Either that or like me, it was tough getting the arms to slide inside the frame with the new bushings. I used the same lube I used on the bushings and slathered some on either side of the frame and on either side of the bushings and really had to work the arm to get it to line up. The new bushings made it tough to get the arm into the frame.

Yeah it is new bushings as well....I can get it almost perfect, but not enough to push the bolt through easily...guess I can just wratchet it into place...that or the BFH.
Thanks

I used drift pins to get them all lined up then removed and inserted my factory taper nosed bolt and put the impact to it. Bam, all done.
It was getting a wrench into the front to back up the bolt head that I struggled with. Needed 40" long arms.

Yeah they are tough with new bushings... mine took a little determination, a little persuasion, a little sweat and a couple f bombs to get them to go. :D

They are supposed to be tight, but they will go in. I put a little grease on to let it slide, because that new rubber may not want to slide. You can also use weatherstripping conditioner.
Worse comes to worse, you can use a bottle or floor jack with a 2x4. Shouldn't take much pressure, but it's just in an awkward position to do without assistance.

Had this issue about two weeks ago. I rented a port-a-power to spread open the flanges a little. Well worth the money($25) and it only took 15 minutues and when you tighten the nut on the bolt it puts everything back in place. That was after several hours of trying to persuade my new tubular arms/bushings in.
