I'm installing a Wilwood proportioning valve in the rear brake line to balance the front disc/rear drum setup and have two ques/thots:
Location: I am planning on breaking the line along the left frame rail (about midway) and bolting the valve to the rail, however, I recently saw an install that split the line in the engine compartment after the distribution block and left the valve unsupported in the line. Thots?
Flaring stainless lines: I recently read somewhere that double flaring was not necessary with stainless lines and in fact might not even be possible. The material work hardens so quickly that any attempt to double flare results in a crack. True? Brakes lines are a 45 degree flare?
