I picked up a (1969) repro dash cluster and clock from Classic Industries, and planned to cut this repro unit to install the clock. From looking at the clock and the dash, though, its not clearly obvious how to cut the center section out to make room for the clock.

Has anyone done this before? Any tips?

Thanks,
Dave

I was able to do a reasonably good job with my drimmel tool. Sounds scarry but it's not,..the bezel will cover the imperfections. And BTW, I don't know what tool was used by GM but original carriers had a rough and somewhat jagged edge.

Good luck!

Hmm... maybe that's where I'm confused. I have the clock, and I've ordered the lense, but where is the bezel? Is it yet a third part?

You can buy the bezel with the lens in it or just a replacement lens.

You have to use those special little fasteners that slip over a couple of plastic blades molded into the back to hold the clock. I don't think they are repoed. Then the bezel with the lens screws into the dash.
