Does anyone have any hints on how to remove this tacking strip and the plastic gutter? The car is going to the bodyshop and I want to get this off to see what shape its in.
Thanks

The gutter was a PITA to get out at the corners. Take your time and be careful. Bob camarobird Apr 4th, 03, 07:01 PM Mine is a 68 but should be the same, I pinned up the top well liner and can see the tacking strips and the gutter. Even got off one small strip on the rear quarter but something else is holding the top, what is it?? I'm planning to scribe the main top bolts and take off the top in one piece before I send the car to the bodyman/welder. I personally want to dismantle and photo the top bows etc even though I want a pro to fit the new top. Is this a good plan. Imagine all this started with me wanting to save all the RS moulding around the top. I still can't see the screws/clips for this part yet. Got a dump of 6" of frezzing rain in Toronto last night...city is on its knees....neat stuff, its like sugar and rolls off the roof and makes 3' tall sugar cones in front of the garage! Cheers Arno |
