Whats everyones opinion of the reproduction 1969 Camaro headrest ?

I have a set of parchment ones that I was going to use in my car, but decided to redye my originals and use them. The color was WAY off and I would of had to redye them. I think they are pretty close to the originals in appearance, except the bottom side doesnt even come close. You would definately want them to be pushed all the way down on the seat. I cant remember what I paid for them, but if I recall, it wasnt cheap.

Thanks for the reply Jonesy, the color I need is black so that shouldnt be an issue as far as color matching. Just was wondering about appearence and fit, seems I've spent a ton of money on aftermarket stuff that is pure junk.

Anyone else used reproduction headrest that would care to enlighten me?

They're not bad,..like Jonesy above, I've used the parchment repo and the color looked faded,..had yellowed a bit,..but good enough for a driver at the time.

Also, the bar is chrome on origianals but painted silver on the repos.

But overall, I'd rate the repo "B" or "B+".

There not tollal junk but with the 30 year old foam the fit will be differnt I had to play and pull and tuck and set in the sun add foam to make mine respectable but I am some what happy I even had a use set black was faded and shinny wore so I chose to recover my head rest to match my new seat covers.

I have a set of Ivory curved bar headrests from OER that are still in the box. I bought them 5 years ago. At the time I was planning on using them. The color was not too far off but I decided to just recover my originals. The recovered ones look better that the repros but as I said, the repros aren't bad.

Dave, i have a set of repo black curved neck head rests. they arn't bad but as many repo items there just not original. i had a set of originals recovered for my car so i have these available. if interested e mail me @ LNDMCC@BELLSOUTH>NET> ricks sells these for $170. make me a reasonable offer. they were in the car less than 4 months so there in new condition.
