I reciently purchased repro armrest bases and moldings for the base. It stated that instalation of the moldings may require tapping base holes. How do I go about tapping those and do I need to apply some spray adhesive to glue them down. Thanks!

I think they are talking about the holes in the base that the bright trim gets attached to. Your trim should have prongs that go through the holes and are bent over from the back.
68 arm rest bases used the trim....69 did not. 68 and 69 bases are identical, except for the holes in the 68 for the trim.
