Want to clean up my front park lamp housings and was wondering what finish the exterior should be? Currently the inside is painted blue (I think they were sprayed over during a previous repaint), but I assume they should be covered with reflective paint. Also, how do you get overspray off of the rubber wire loom?

They were originally zinc/cad plated on the outside. Use lacquer thinner on a rag to get the o/spray off the wiring.

And painted gloss white on the inside with an amber colored bulb.

Great, thanks for the info. I would never have though of gloss white for the inside color.

Ive seen/had originals that were gold cad/zinc plated on the outside. Know anything about that?

Took a look at mine and can't tell what they were due to surface rust, dirt and overspray. Would Eastwoods Silver Cad be a close color match?

I checked my original park lights and they were gold cad on the back side, I have 2 NOS park lights in the boxes, where one is gold cad and other is silver cad. The gold cad box part number has the older white and green sticker on it and silver cad box has the part number with the newer white and blue stcker. I would assume the production line park lights were gold cad and the sliver cad were service replacements.
