sounds like you have a bad set OR they are mounted in the wrong place?

Johan, try using the Search feature in this Body section. I recall guys using a Dremel with cutting tool to extend the opening for the swivel ball that holds the mirror. They grind away some of the outer socket area, so the ball can swivel more to the inside to get the view you want. I recall reading it in here awhile ago. Try the search using 'mirror' as search word. You will find it.

Yup, the right side one on my case, needed a little Dremel triming too. Adjust the mirror as close to what it needs to be, mark the stem that has the ball where it makes contact with the chromed part of the mirror assy, then use the Dremel to make a small opening on the stem, exactly where it makes contact with the chrome. Make it little by little, just enough to position the mirror where you want it, so it doesn't get too big, as to debilitate the stem. As for the left side one, considering how far from US you live, and the pain in the neck that should be any parts return, I'd suggest to use some kind of glue to hold it in place. If I were you, I could even try to make some indentations on the ball, with a pointed center punch. That way the ball will get a little rough and may hold its position inside the chrome part. Just my 2¢. Good Luck. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
