Does someone make a 16” x 7” painted Rally Wheel (similar to those on a ’67 with disc brakes)? I am considering ordering 15” x 7” Rally wheels for my ‘67 RS coupe and thought it might look better with 16 x 7’s.

Does anyone have 16” or 17” Rally’s on their first-gen Camaro? If so, do you have pictures?

Thanks,
Matt

I custom orderd a set from Wheel Vintiques for a customer. The fronts a 16x7 with a 4.5" back space and the rears are 8x16 with a 5" back space. The front is using the single piston calipers and the reason we ordered 5" backspace on the rear is to bea able to accomodate rear disc upgrade in the future. The only down side is the wheels are'nt concentric with the fromt or rear hubs. We'll be using 225/55r16's on the front and 245/50r16 rears. I'll set the alignment specs to 1* negative front camber with max caster and 1/16 toe in per side. The front will have Hotchkis front springs and sway bar with Koni shocks and the rear will have Hotchkis leafs and Koni shocks. We're also freshening the front end with new ball joints and rubber bushings. The owner did'nt want to go hog wild so no Del a Lum bushings etc. Just a mild build without noisy urethane control arm bushings.

I just ordered CCP disc brakes front and rear for my '67. This is the first I heard that a 5-inch back space might be needed for a 16x8 wheel? I was planning on a 4.5-inch back space. Will the disc brake offset the wheel toward the outside and thus require the additional back space?

If the rotor sandwiches between the wheel and the axle pad then the wheel will be moved toward the outside fender about 1/4" to 1/8". That is why I use a 5" b.s.
