Just wondering if any of you had removed yours and what the pros and cons would be. I have seen a few like this and thought it cleaned the car up a little. I know the rain would pour in with the windows down even slightly but was just curious. Is this a hard thing to do?

I personally wouldn't do it,I think it'll be a bigger job than you realize.Someone on this board was looking for info on how to replace ones that had been removed.Your car, whatever makes you happy.

I'm gonna do mine this summer! I know it's a lot of welding, but it's not a problem for me.

How much welding? What is involved?

Hey Jay, If your driprails are good and they fit a 67 I sure could use them!

The rails that move down the front pillars arent bad to remove its the ones that run the distance of the roof itself. they are sandwidched between the outter skin of the rood and the roof frame. Also wold be interested in them if the gentlemen before me and yourself cant strike a deal on them.

It'll be a few weeks before I remove mine. I'll see what it takes to remove mine without too much damage.

I don't think you would be able to save them (the old drip rails) unless you acually removed the roof skin. Let us know.

You're right Austin, I looked at them ealier. It'll be hard saving them. I might try pealing the roof skin a little. If not, I'll just cut the rail and weld the seam shut. I'll find out is a few weeks. I'll keep everyone posted.
