Are there any books or place where I can find Chevrolet parts from different year models or makes that would work, or am I better of buying from a after market co. for brake parts. I would rather use parts off other Chevrolet cars like a Cadallic or truck brakes.

DISC BRAKES THAT WILL FIT FIRST GEN CAMAROS
You can use the spindle, caliper, bracket, or rotor from:
Apollo 73-74
Buick Special 69-72
Camaro 69
Chevelle 69-72
Firebird 69
Grand Prix 69
Grand Prix 70-72
Monte Carlo 70-72
Nova 69-74
Olds F85 69-72
Omega 73-74
Sprint gmc 71-72
Tempest 69-72
Ventura II 71-74
They must be disc brake equipped of course. I believe discs became standard in 1970.
Some of the cars listed have the caliper forward of the spindle. If so, you must swap side for side placing the Caliper to the rear of the spindle on the Camaro. When swapping from front steer cars, use your Camaro steering arms. In some cases, I deleted swappable brakes earlier than 1969, because they used four piston calipers, the spindles will work.
Second gen Camaro brakes WILL NOT swap, the caliper is the only part that could possibly be swapped, but the brake hose hole may be slightly different location.

discs were not standard in 70- well, maybe on the Camaro/Firebird, but the Chevelles came with drums standard up until the end of the 72 model year, and Novas got them until the end of the 74 model year.
and if you don''t already have the proper parts or can't find a good donor at reasonable price, why not just add later model Vette or Camaro brakes? it can be done for about as much as a stock disc swap, and you will be able to lie to people and tell them that you have Baer brakes on your car if you want.
