Well its re assembly time and i have come accross a spring clip about 3" long that was lying in the engine side of the heater box. it has a j clip type fastener in the center of the two wings or arms. i have read the ass manual and researched threads have not come up with any ideas. anyone help with where it goes and what its for ? thanks guys, dennis

there was a post on that just last week. It holds the heater core on, inside the heater box, keeps it from rattling around. There should be 2 of them, they clip onto the housing and push against the left and right sides of the core, on the engine compartment side.

my wife was just saying over dinner that she had some painting for me to take care of in the house, "if only I didn't waste so much time on that @!$#%& camaro forum!"
I just hit "new posts" and read every thing that comes up.... 'bout every hour or so...lol
Don't let my wife hear you say that about "getting out of the cold!" We'd love to, but the people who pay me the big bucks r here!

Jim, just think that top could be down 10 + months a year. cruise in's 5 nights a week and no snow to battle with. i was just telling someone the other day about a trip to chicago many years ago in january when the wind chill was 68 below. and we waited outside the hotels for bus service to McCormick place on the lake. i was younger then but it was still cold........

If I didn't have winter, when would I get any good car work done!
And I do love the seasons... nothing like the first ragtop day of spring!
