Does anybody know what the difference in the 67/68 and 69 rear spoilers is ? I can see in the parts catalogs that two different ones are listed, but they look the same. I have a '68, and I know where I can buy a '69 spoiler for a reasonable price. Thanks.

The 67-8 spoilers are narrower than the 69. You can put a 67-8 on a 69 (early 69's came with 68 spoilers) but it won't go all the way to the outer edge of the quarter. Can't put a 69 on a earlier model as its wider than the quarters.

Did the 67 R/S come with a rear spoiler, was it optional or just not on there at all, I've seen a few around (R/S modles) not SS that had them put on, they look schweeet!

I believe I am correct that no 67 Camaro ever rolled off the GM assembly line with a rear spoiler. Some 67's had a rear spoiler added at the dealership however. Nowadays its almost impossible to find a Camaro without a spoiler

what about the front spoilers? I see some 67 R/S and the SS modles with lower front spoilers, they remind me of the ones on the 2nd gen Z28's, but they're a little larger.

The differance is the length as stated above the 69 spoiler will fit the 67-68 car without overhanging the quarters.

Chris, I don't know enough about the front spoilers and what models they same with. Probably similiar to the rear spoiler story. 67-8 are the same and 69 is different due to different lower valance's. Hard to tell whats original because a dealer would add anything you wanted to any car. A loaded Z could come without a spoiler but a base 6 cyl could have one if the customer requested or the dealer felt like adding one.

The Camaro Research Group states on their site www.camaros.org (http://www.camaros.org) that NO '67 Camaro came with the rear spoiler. I think they look really neat, but according to these guys, not "correct."
