I just bought a 69 with a big block. It has a big block radiator. The radiator is attached to the front sheet metal with a bolt on the top hole on both sides. However no other bolts are installed. In addition the drivers side of the radiator has mounting holes that are open. The right side they are holes.
Anybody know what hardware is used to connect the radiator assembly?
It seems to me it should have more than one bolt per side. Why does one side have open ended holes?

Left (driver) side mounts with rubber well nuts. They are basically a rubber sleeve with a threaded insert, and from the side they look like a "T". The wide side goes toward the engine, and as you draw them tight they expand.

Just gives a little flex to the mounting to allow for expansion and contraction.

You can usually find them at a local parts store, sometimes in the "Help!" section. Rick's has them (with bolts) as part number EP-33, $10 or so.

Oh, and there should be a second bolt on the passenger side.
