i've just bought a 68 coupe and it has some rust in the channel that the trunk weatherstip runs in on the top edge of the trunk (towards the cab). I see a rear upper body panel in classic industries catalog and it says it is the panel that goes between the trunk and the back window. Do any of you guys know if that panel contains the weatherstrip channel for the trunk?

When I did mine, there was no channel with the repop panel. If your channel is rusted badly, I would either get one from a donor car or make one. If it is just small rust holes, clean them up and have them repaired. I did my panel several years ago so they may have changed by now.

You can buy that part from Rick's. Part number PP-77. Just need to weld it to your panel.
