I am looking at a 69 z-28 clone that has been sitting for 10 years on blocks,typical rust in areas but there is a hole in trunk next to shock tower that is bugging me,I dont want to get myself into a car thats not repairable,the rest of car isnt that bad should I stay away or is a hole in that location not that big a deal..thanks as I dont know much about these cars,I have only owned mopars and gto,s

In most cases, you'd be money ahead starting with a car in $10-15,000 range for a resto,..than a car in the $2-5000 range. Usually way ahead.

The two most important things,..find a car that's complete,..and secondly, find one that doesn't need that much body work (paint and body is the most expensive part of the hobby).
