Check out this pic from the Detroit Auto show:

The price is nice! Anyone in Detroit shoot any digi pics? I would love to see them.

No way they will ever sell a Camaro with a LS2 for 25k. If they make this car and I can get one with an LS2 for 30k I'll probably jump on it

I think what Jim was trying to say is....There really is no need for every person to start a new thread for each opinion or new link found. It's MUCH easier to read everything about the same topic when it's in one, or two at the most, threads.

I heard bob lutz was saying the new camaro was getting back to the roots, not like the last ones with all the gizmo/s he said it was goingto be a cheap thrill ride.

Guy, lets look at the current GM engines real quick:

V-6's that it could mave are the 3.5L 204 HP, 3.9L 240 HP, and teh Caddy CTS has that spiffy 255 HP 3.6L.....I figure it'd get the 3.6 or 3.9...

V-8: easiest part: LS2...but with the GTO and Vette makinf 400 already, will GM see a need to detune the less expensive car? or will we see two states of tune like the 4th Gen Z28 and SS....

and could a special SS have a LS7? I seriosuly doubt it, but with Ford selling mistuand with over 450 HP and climbing by then (according to Ford), a 450+ HP Camaro might just be needed to keep it's image....all teh motors are already there, it's just stuffing them in the bay.

I've already decided I'll hold off on buying one untill any performance versions specs would be know. for instance if a SS is a year or two off but will be something extra special(as with the Mustang GT and GT500)
