I posted earlier and I really appreciate any expert opinions you may have.I am trying to make a decision on a 69 complete car.It has been sitting outside for a number of years.it hasnt run for years, but supposedly ran fine when he parked it.It has a 350 auto and has all the z-28 cosmetics(cowl hood, spoilers, stripes, badges)but is a regular coupe.Car has some rust in floors, quarters and trunk(one small hole next to shock tower)interior is all there but will need lots of work, car looks decent from afar but looks like it has sat out for ten years.Clean title .The guy wants 3 grand.I want a good deal so that if I decide to get out from under it I wont have any problem getting my money back or even making some money.I just dont know camaros like I do mopars & goats so I could really use your help.I understand that anyone would have to see car to form opinion but based on info provided what do you think?

Sounds like it's in better shape than my 67 and I paid 2500.00, my engine screams (400 sbc) but no interior...and lots of bad welding...

If its anything but a rusted out hulk its worth 3 grand. 3 grand in first gen camaros usually gets you absolutely nothing. Would be much better as you mention if you could post some pics of the car and cowl tag. Again, based on your description its easily worth 3 grand

I know of a similar car, been sitting for 4-5 yrs., not running, but the guy would take $3000-3500 for it. It is here in North Ga., and the guy doesn't know I am familiar with the car. This particular car was in a flood, up over the top of the front fenders. The engine hasn't been turned over or touched since, as well as any other parts . Nothing has been drained in the running gear, or has any of the interior pieces or wiring checked out. The car is sitting in the middle of a field, with a '71 Chevelle also, in similar shape. Is it worth it? To me, (my find) .......NO, but that's just my opinion. Your car may be alot better, and well worth the money.

I've spent almost $3000 in parts alone!! This little bracket here, that clip there, the "correct" this & that... If the car is intact, $3000 ain't too bad especially if it has a favorable cowl tag. (POST that info on this site). I have learned that almost anything can be fixed! With all the resto parts that are available for 1st gen's, the sky (and your wallet) is the limit. We have seen some pretty ugly donor cars turned into absolute GEMS. However, if it IS just a rusted out quivering swamp mass, let it go......Jb
