Hey all, just finishing up welding in floorpan on my 69. Anyone tried painting the inside and outside with bedliner paint? If so, do you need to put epoxy primer over the weld thru primer that came on pan or just use the bedliner paint. Seems i read about it on here somewhere but can't find it on any posts. Thanks for the help graemlins/beers.gif

When I painted my floors I used Sems Rustsheild. I am very pleased with the results, very durable.

Check out my website in my sig pic.
I just finished spraying truck bed liner on my belly pans. It looks awesome!!!!!!!!!
I am also doing the same thing in the ceiling, under the dash and inside the floor and quarters. May also do it in the trunk, but will spray a lighter color over that to make it brighter in there.
What is so cool around it, is it makes the floor of the car feel like plastic. It is freaky weird.
Oh, I did the self etching epoxy prime, then a 2K prime and hit it with the truck liner. I did the frame rails in POR 15 for a smooth offset.
One other thing, I smoothed seam sealer in all the edges of the floor pan panels. This does three things. One, prevents stuff from getting in there to rot it out. Two, it makes for a smooth transition spot for the primer, paint to fill over. Three, it looks cool as it all blends smooth with no gaps.
Good luck!
