I have a friend who is trying to convert a small block '68 Camaro to big block while maintaining his factory-appearing A/C. I understand there were some differences in the heater core/blower motor box and possibly in the firewall itself, depending on whether the car came with a big block or small block. Can anyone clue me in as to what the exact differences were? Anyone have experience with this type of conversion? I'm wondering if parts are available to do it, or if it will be a bunch of custom fabrication.

I can get you ( I have a friend with one) a big block A/C box that goes on the firewall, it has the POA valve on the inbaord side of the evap box like the big blocks. Small blocks had them on the outboard side. He might have the inside parts also. He's not giving it away, the price will be in the $400.00 range I bet, could be wrong though. PM me and I can get pictures.

Thanks guys! We are still researching the project at this point, but will probably start it within a couple weeks if the cost and difficulty are reasonable. I'll PM you guys at that point about the parts.
